Founder of Jolly Sailing
Captain Max Jolly launched Jolly Sailing after serving as the director of Leeway Sailing Center for ten years. Max races Lido 14's and Catalina 37' sailboats regularly and was a crew member on the first-place vessel, a Santa Cruz 70', in the Newport to Ensenada race in 2015. We're excited to welcome you
Whether you're black or white, a US citizen or foreigner, gay or bisexual, use pronouns "she" or "they," we are pumped to meet you and take you sailing. Our boat is your boat.
Jolly Sailing uses eco and marine-friendly cleaning products. We purchase recycled paper and TP and buy offsets for the small amount of fuel we use per year to get the vessel in and out of the downtown Long Beach marina.
If you're a traveler who values eco-tourism or a local Southern Californian that appreciates environmentally conscientious businesses, we would love your support
Our captains do regular trash scoopings between charters. Though we know our efforts are small towards a problem that's massive, we simple can't look the other way when we see trash floating around our Long Beach boat slip.
